Peapod - update

Im sure you know that Peapods name isnt actually Peapod, but its what she was called when we first found out I was pregnant and its just kinda stuck. Peapod, is now 5 years old, yes FIVE years old, how did that happen? only seems like 5 minutes ago I blogged about finding out I was pregnant with her, she has just finished her reception year at primary school and is looking forward to starting year 1 in a few weeks time. Her school teachers always comment that she is a quiet but polite little girl who is kind to her friends but is also quite shy and needs a bit of encouragement in new situations. She was born with congential hip dysplsia, and was placed in a pavlik harness in the hope that 6 weeks in that wuld cure her hip dislocating all the time, however it took a futher tendonotomy, and She has an old head on her shoulders and often says things that sound very strange coming from a 5 year old. for example a few weeks ago she was over heard saying to her uncle "I've t...

Its been too long since I blogged, there has been so much happened since I last blogged, too much to write in one blog post.  But a quick overview would be that its been one hell of a stressful two years, so much so I don't know how we have gotten through it at times. I've lost both of my nanas, both formidable, women in different ways and both in their 90s, grief sucks and although neither death was unexpected it doesn't ease the grieving process. Peapod stared nursery and went from strength to strength although is still quite shy at times. The Mr, got made redundant was out of work for about a year, then found a new job, only to injure his back and to be paid off for health reasons, he is now awaiting a neurosurgical opinion with the outcome being probable surgery on his back.
