Peapod - update
Im sure you know that Peapods name isnt actually Peapod, but its what she was called when we first found out I was pregnant and its just kinda stuck.
Peapod, is now 5 years old, yes FIVE years old, how did that happen? only seems like 5 minutes ago I blogged about finding out I was pregnant with her, she has just finished her reception year at primary school and is looking forward to starting year 1 in a few weeks time.
Her school teachers always comment that she is a quiet but polite little girl who is kind to her friends but is also quite shy and needs a bit of encouragement in new situations.
She was born with congential hip dysplsia, and was placed in a pavlik harness in the hope that 6 weeks in that wuld cure her hip dislocating all the time, however it took a futher tendonotomy, and
She has an old head on her shoulders and often says things that sound very strange coming from a 5 year old. for example a few weeks ago she was over heard saying to her uncle "I've told you once and I'm not going to tell you again, I'm not going to do it" Her uncle was trying to get Peapod to feed their dog and she didn't want to do it.
She loves reading and doing maths, she also loves bacon sandwiches, obviously takes after her Mam.
She has made friends at school but I have noticed that when we come out of the school yard its always the little boys who shout for her, very rarely I hear the little girls shouting of her. I think The Mr and I will have to keep our eyes on our lanky, blonde haired, blue eyed little girl when she gets a bit older.
She doesn't seem to need much sleep and loves films, like her dad.
She is the clumsiest little girl I have ever met, seriously this child can trip over her own shadow, and will often be heard to mutter "I'm a clumsy clot"
